What Do You Think About Ads?
I'm Looking for some feedback on this one. I've added an ad widget to my sidebar. Does it make things look to trashy? Is it offensive? Do any of you really care? I'm trying to avoid getting another "real" job and see if there is any way I can make a little bit of income from my writing. It takes a couple hours a day even though it is great fun for me. Do any of you other nature writers have any ideas for me? I plan to be open minded about listening to ideas so help me. Which brings me back to my original question. let me know what you think of such an add on this type of blog's side bar. (Though I really don't like the ad that I just saw as I signed on a few minutes ago.)

No, I don't think it's too trashy or distracting (far from it), but you might want to look into Project Wonderful: http://www.projectwonderful.com/. It's an ad system developed by a web comic writer that works quite differently from, say, Google AdSense.
