Join me in discovery each morning as we visit my garden and the woods surrounding my home. Or perhaps we'll sit at my window and see what happens today at the feeder.
While standing outside my car on the steep part of our driveway looking for Mulberry tree seedlings I was privileged to catch a few nice views of one of our Red shouldered hawks. The nest is within view of where I was standing.
I will leave you to soar with the hawk. Enjoy your flight!
Tex, of course you are right. I knew that when I was taking the photographs, then got red-tail on my brain and it never left. As you can see I did some quick editing. Thanks, nellie
I envy you having a nest nearby. We see them on power lines along the highway in the winter but they seem to disappear into the woods in the summer. Great pics!

What lovely shots, they can be hard to get.
i think that might be a red-shouldered hawk instead of a red-tail. but it is gorgeous!

Nelle, great pics. I continue to be impressed!
Oh, wonderful shots of the hawk patrolling your gardens. Too bad he wasn't wearing a video camera to give us a birdseye view of the beauty!
Wonderful shots! We get the red-tailed hawks here, but never close enought to photograph.
Wishing you a very lovely weekend,
Zuzu
