Squirrels Just Want to Have Fun!

I hope you remember the trouble we had here on our hill when the squirrels started carrying guns.  If you don't remember, or you are new to reading this blog then you need to first read HOLD UP There are a couple short posts about a scary situation that was resolved by a savvy squirrel.
Now that you have read that, you will understand that the squirrels up here can get a bit rowdy.  This weekend they had quite a party. I have no photos of that party due to the fact that they threatened to destroy my camera if I captured any proof from the weekend.
By Sunday afternoon, though, they were beyond caring.
By then many of their friends had gone home. This one had just enough strength to call out to me for another beer.  I refused, not wanting to aid in his moral destruction. His friends wouldn't help either.  As each woke up (in some strange places) it headed for its home tree. If he hadn't deserved falling, I would have worried about this one traversing the roof on his still wobbly legs.
I'm sure there were some squirrel wives waiting impatiently at home because several of the errant rodents were in a big hurry once they realized the time.

There was even a small show of rodent remorse.
("Please don't tell my wife. Please don't tell my wife.")
This fellow, below, was not caring about remorse, the time or much of anything else.
He could barely hold his head up.

I really need a better security system.

Great shots of the squirrels.

I need to go through your blog now that I've found it. You sure live in a wonderful place.

Thank you for leaving a comment on my blog about what you think the birds are that I saw this morning.

Cuties! Perhaps if you did give in just a little and make a sunflower seed bribe, you could get your gutters cleaned out while they are up there. I know your squirrels come packing heat, but a little greasing of the palms can go far ;)

Wonderful blog & pics - very sweet:)Love to hear the squirrels running on top of our roof, possible gutter cleaning goings on!

I'm not fond of squirrels but we do see some funny acrobatic moves as they try to get to our (supposedly) squirrel-proof bird feeders.

Oh my god Nellie this was too funny!!
And I thought my squirrel mafia was bad ? I think your crowd takes the cake .. hum ? the nuts ? LOL
You caught them in some very compromising poses so I think there should be some black mail potential here to show their wives what the misters have been up to ?
They should stay well away from your Spring bulbs for now ? ! LOL
Joy : )

I had a lot of fun with this one.
Joy, I think you are right about blackmail. I'll have to talk to them about my demands.
Jane, the bribes don't seem to work. they just take what they want and search for more.
Wong Ching Wa, I have a friend who thought that last one was dead.
Thanks everyone,
nellie

That must have been some party if they are still sleeping it off that late in the morning. Quite a rowdy bunch of squirrels you have there.

I could have a message sent telling them to lay off but it would probably be better if your squirrels never met my Fox squirrel brigade.

I love the gun toting squirrel, that is hilarious.

Following you back, looking forward to more!
