A link

This is a really great video of a Scarlet tanager from another blogger, "Gardening with Binoculars."  I just had to share it. I have heard my first Summer tanager in my own garden after an absence of a few years.

The two videos are fantastic! They were filmed by Lang Elliot who has made so many wonderful recordings of nature sounds. You might want to check Lang's blog too!

Those videos are great, thanks for the link. I have never seen Scarlet Tanagers, we have Western Tanagers with red heads.

Anne, I did. Such great videos! That's how I found this one. You are right. There are many more.

I have only seen one in my whole life, and that was on a camping trip in the Blue Ridge. Seeing that flash of red flying among the tall trees made me feel like I was in the tropics. I also want to thank you for stopping by my site recently on GBBD. I am sorry you are having trouble following me. I recently had to change how I have that set up to thwart feedscrapers.
