Winter Moss

It is a grand moment for moss.
Rainy days feed its shallow roots.
The canopy overhead is clear, allowing necessary sunlight to provide energy.
A miniature jungle grows at our feet
All we have to do is notice . . .
And enjoy!

Lovely shots, sometimes the only green around this time of year.

I love looking at the moss too. Some of ours look like miniature evergreen forests. Loved the photographs.

Really nice photos, the small things like this often get overlooked.

You cannot imagine the childhood memories these shots bring back...I can just feel the moss now. It was thick in the woods we played in...we would pull it up and move it to 'our playhouse' which was an area encircled by rocks.
