Nature is for loving! On a rare (read "very rare") sunny day in the midst of all this rain, I chanced to see this group escaping from the nearby elementary school.
It made me smile to see what looked like kindergardeners running free "into the wild." Their teacher held them all close at the road as a train passed, then must have yelled, "Okay, go!" for they exploded from her onto the gravel driveway across the street. I'm not sure what they were looking for as they bent over near the rail road tracks hidden by tall grass. I'm hoping it was for bugs or something natural and not for pennies smashed on the track. Perhaps one of my readers (Brenda that might be you) from this area can enlighten us in the comment section.
Whatever the reason, I felt lucky to see these small humans run free.

Hello Nellie, the joys of children playing and running are wonderful and it's good to see them outdoors playing vs. glued to a computer screen playing games. I especially enjoyed the photo sequence "Turtle Love" posted a couple of days ago. Ah yes, I understand about rare sunny days - they've been few and far between here too - but everything sure is green !

This rain, rain, and more rain is beginning to get a little old but then I pause to be thankful that we haven't had the terrible storms and flooding that so many of our countrymen are enduring.
These are some thoughtful comments. While many of are tired of raun I can appreciate doing 4 loads if laundry without running out of water in the well. It is hard to find a dry day to mow, though.
