The Pond and the Willow

A bright afternoon sun warms the surface of the frozen pond.

Its steel gray surface shines with reflective lines from a twisted willow.

The tree's deep lines and scarred trunk bear witness to its dance of life.

Its fingers almost touch the frozen pond toward which it bends. . .

. . . while three younger sisters watch and learn.

Hi There, Wow--love seeing the sun's rays shining down on that frozen pond... Gorgeous!!!! And weeping willows are such pretty trees. I have always heard that where there is one willow, there is always at least one more nearby... Don't know if that is true or not--but it's something I was told years ago....

Hugs,
Betsy

Great series of photographs. Love the shadows of the tree limbs on the pond, and the trees themselves are beautiful!

I love willows, especially for their structure and your pictures show this marvelously.
