Brief Autumn Mountain Tour

Autumn color quickly dissolves with a few quick breaths that leave limbs bare and streams hidden beneath fallen leaves.   Mountain peaks stand undressed above brightly colored lower hills where branches filled with leaves of gold and red outnumber those standing naked.

The "peak" of the season becomes a precursor of winter with only one night's rainfall.
But there are still plenty of great scenes if we look in the right direction.
and at the right elevation.
One more mountain scene,
then tomorrow we'll go down to water level to see how the streams are handling autumn.
