October in the Garden

In my mind the garden is fading. Even the weeds have slowed down. I hadn't gone through the gate in several days
But I needed to mow so I entered, unsuspecting what I found.
Red, blue and plenty of other colors. Even the weeds were blooming.
Miscellaneous seed packets that were torn open and scattered in early summer are now remembered in surprising spots of white or blue.
I don't even know what some of these things are
But I like them.

You have some nice blooms still. My flowers are all doing good.My veggies are at teir end, many already pulled. The pink flowered smartweed can be a tough one to get rid of.

The Smartweed is in an area which used to be a well-tended bed but is being overtaken by the Norway spruce garden border. This is what was in my original plan, but that was over 20 years ago. It is hard to let go of a flowerbed but such is life.

I like them too! :-) "A rose by any other name would smell as sweet", right?! So it doesn't matter what they're called. :-)

It's a pleasure to find so much blooming this time of year.

Lovely pics. My favorite part of the garden is how busy those beds can be... even when we think she's done for the season.

I've been ignoring my garden quite a bit too, but it's still there, weeds and all. Love the flowers in your garden; gardens are always surprising us with something, aren't they?

There is something about the fall light that really pops the colours!
