Different

Unlike any other the young deer stands out from the crowd.
Its brown endearing eyes stare at me from white rings matched by the white nose muzzle ring.
Does this deer know how it stands out from the crowd? Like a snowflake, different from all the rest, unique in a world where it doesn't pay well to be set apart. Doe or young buck, we don't yet know but beautiful in its uniqueness is for sure.
After studying my for only a moment the snowflake flutters then darts for the woods . . .
. . . going deep enough into the gully where any average deer would be hidden. Where no hunter's arrow could reach.

Wow! I've heard of albino deer but that one is not pure white. Marvelous!
