There are still a few Spring treats out in the woods. Saturday's sunrise brought a glow to a wild crab apple tree growing close to one of our hay fields. The luminous blossoms shone like light
until a closer look revealed the pale pink leaves of each bloom. While standing beneath the tree, my ears were filled with the humming drone of honey bees retrieving nectar from each open blossom.
Back in my garden a blue columbine has made its appearance. Each exotic blue bloom awaits its turn patiently as a bumblebee bumps and buzzes from blossom to bloom its much needed nectar.
