November Apologies to Tom
It is November, right?
I'm sorry, but is anyone else thinking, "mashed potatoes and gravy" as these turkeys lope through the rain across our hay field?
Uh-oh. Did you fellows hear someone mention "gravy"?
never seen them in the wild, only in captivity. i bet that is a real sight to behold. if i had to kill one of these for dinner we would be without... i do know that. i am glad i did not live when i had to kill my own food.
Oh, yes, I've thought about that! We have so many turkeys around here the last few years, and boy, are they big. I scared some up the other day on my way to the compost pile, I don't know who was more startled, though, them or me!
